Lite XL Thermal Kit

The thermal kit attaches to the inside of the TentBox Lite XL to create a cosy, insulated sleeping pod.

Lite Windbreak

Compatible with both our tents, this windbreak slides easily into the fold-out part of the roof tent to create a shelter from the wind.

Why Daunder?

We're a family-run business based in Aberdeen in the North East of Scotland, passionate about adventure and the outdoors.  After experiencing the freedom of travelling with a roof tent, we knew we had to share it.

That’s why we started Daunder — to help others explore Scotland’s wild places without the need to buy expensive gear or the hassle of towing or pitching.  Our TentBox rentals make it easy to camp anywhere, wake up to stunning views, and enjoy the journey at your own pace.

We’re here to help more people daunder — to slow down, camp anywhere, and wander everywhere.

"3-night adventure in Glen Affric"

Took the TentBox Lite XL out with my two boys for a 3-night adventure in Glen Affric, and it couldn’t have been better. The TentBox was up in minutes, solid as anything, and gave us a warm, dry base each night — even when the weather turned a bit wild and wet.

The kids absolutely loved sleeping up high. There was plenty of space for the three of us, and not a single hassle throughout. The iPad holder was a hit for night-time movies!

Brilliant bit of equipment, and Daunder made the whole hire experience smooth and friendly from start to finish. Highly recommend — it’s some piece of kit if you’re looking to get off the beaten path.

Will definitely be booking again!

What a great idea and what an experience!

For booking, collection and installation Daunder were an absolute pleasure to deal with. After a very speedy installation and a well needed demo on setting up and taking down the TentBox we were on our way! I cannot fault anything about our experience while away, The TentBox is roomy and spotlessly clean and the very kind gift of essentials that come with the hire were a wonderful surprise.

We will 100% be using Daunder for repeat hires and cannot wait for our next adventure.

"Little boy's first camping trip"

Could not recommend highly enough.

Wanted to take my little boy for his first camping trip, so thought the TentBox would be an ideal introduction. The tents are solid constructions and are incredibly easy to erect; enough space inside to make it incredibly comfortable, and better insulated than any tent I've had before. The iPad and light holders are well thought out extras which just add to the ease and comfort.

My boy was buzzing with the novelty of climbing the ladder and sleeping on the roof and he is itching to go away again now!

Daunder were incredibly helpful on collection and drop off, demonstrating how to set up and fold back down. The welcome pack with coffee and chocolate was a real nice touch.

Planning another night away soon and I'm definitely converted.  These tents and Daunder any day over a conventional tent.
